It has been an honor to serve Los Angeles County as your 27th Assessor. In my over 25 years of public service, I have worked to be an effective and innovative leader in local government as Mayor, as a Councilmember, as a public administration professional, and as Assessor.

During his eight years in office, Jeffrey has proven himself a capable leader on issues of public safety, affordable housing, disability services, economic improvements and civil rights. As a member of the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission, he has pursued responsible environmental policy to fight storm water pollution and supports alternative-fuel buses for West Hollywood public transportation.

In his latest work Jeffrey has really displayed courage as a painter, there is a new found dynamism and clarity of colour in these new paintings which, combined with a strong economic understanding of composition, make these his most exciting works.
